If the pool drops noticeably more than the bucket, evaporation is not the culprit — you have a leak worth investigating professionally.

4. Electronic and acoustic listening. Sensitive hydrophones and electronic leak-detection gear "listen" for the distinct sound of water escaping under pressure, allowing the technician to walk a line to the exact leak point.
5. Thermal imaging where useful. Temperature differences from escaping water can highlight a leak path beneath the deck or behind a wall.
6. A written findings report. You receive a clear explanation of the leak location, the likely cause, and the recommended repair.
